Evangel-ship? Disciple-ism?
Speaker: Kande Wilson

Maximizing evangelism as a key component in spiritual formation.

Many Christians express some confusion or tension between being outward-focused and nurturing their inner spiritual development. All too often our churches and Christian education efforts are not designed to help alleviate this tension. But what if Christ’s command to love others wasn’t just seen as an outcome of our spiritual maturity to be done out of a sense of obligation? What if the Jesus Followers in our communities understood that practicing the art of loving others as Christ did is essential to developing into more of his likeness? What if my attempts at evangelism could actually be used of God not only to spread the Kingdom but also to nudge me into maturity?
